Verizon Responds to AT&T Lawsuit: Ads are True, Truth Hurts
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

We know that Verizon had to stop its attack on AT&T by now showing the 3G maps as often. This was due to AT&T issuing a false advertising lawsuit; it was not that long after that Verizon had their lawyers issue a response to the lawsuit. However, this are about to get more interesting considering what Verizon has said now.
AT&T and Verizon are not backing down on this one, Verizon have responded again by saying that “AT&T sued because Verizon’s ads are true and the truth hurts.” Engadget reports that Verizon said that AT&T themselves admits that the 3G maps are correct, they also said that by forcing them to pull the TV ads off the air is lying to their customers.
Verizon also go on to say that both cell phone carriers need to take time to investigate further. Both sides certainly have good arguments; I would hate to be the judge who has to sit in on this lawsuit. Let us now your thoughts on this.
Engadget said that there is some merit by what Verizon is saying about the AT&T 3G coverage and its quality of service, but AT&T have been arguing the case saying that they have been backing EDGE more. One thing is certain; this problem is not going to go away any time soon.

I use both at&t and Verizon phones. My company provides an at&t phone and my personal phone is from Verizon; both are Blackberries.
The bottom line on coverage is that my Verizon phone works everywhere I go. I’ve been with them for about ten years, and have had exactly four dropped calls in all that time. I know exactly how many because it’s been so rare that a call drops.
My at&t service? Well, I’d be better off with two Dixie cups and a piece of waxed string. I EXPECT my calls with at&t to drop; I lose many more calls that I complete. The data coverage is comparable.
I imagine that at&t are quaking in their boots over losing their exclusive with iPhone; people will leave them in droves once they are able to keep their iPhone and use a reliable carrier.
Unless you aren’t in a city. Spotty coverage is in every network, but yes Verizon does have the best 3G coverage. It is proven in the maps and by user comments.
