OnLive Cloud Gaming Service: Support for iPhone
By: Alan Ng | November 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentSome more news to report on OnLive now, the streaming Cloud-based gaming service that is expected to release in the U.S before the end of the year, with a release to follow in Europe sometime in 2010.
As reported from Apple Insider, OnLive has been recently demoed on the iPhone, showing that the service is more than capable of running on the device.
The aim of the tech demo was to show that the full OnLive interface as well as supported games would be able to run on the iPhone, but CEO Steve Perlman did say that the iPhone would not be ‘ideal’ for console or PC-style games – which is kinda obvious anyway.
However, he also revealed that OnLive games tailored for the iPhone would be on the way in the future, so it’s definitely something to look forward to upon release.
This OnLive service is certainly looking highly impressive in terms of capabilities and satisfaction for gamers, so lets hope they deliver on their initial promises.
