Modern Warfare 2: Your best weapon and perk setup?

Ok, so its been a week now since Modern Warfare 2 was released onto PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Let me guess, you have been playing non stop, trying to unlock every single thing, while trying to find a setup that suits you. Am I right?
We’d like to know what your favorite weapon and perk setup is at the moment. I have to admit, I’m pretty addicted to MW2 at the moment, so i’ll let you in on my current set up.
I have a M16 Rifle, using the Bling Perk and Holographic sight and silencer. Then with the other two Perks I have Stopping Power and Steady Aim.
I also carry a rocket launcher as my Secondary, as I seem to be the only one whos willing to take out choppas and UAVs.
Do you think you have a better setup? List your favourite Weapon and Perk setup below.
UPDATE: Just thought i’d give you an update on my current setup which averages about 25-30 kills per round on Team Deathmatch Express: –
Primary: AK47 with Fall Camo + Holographic Sight. Secondary: Akimbo Model 1887 shotguns. Perks: Marathon Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Commando Pro.
Deathstreak: Final Stand. KillStreaks: Sentry Gun, Emergency Airdrop, Nuke.

I think the PS3 version of this game has better texture, but runs at a little slower framerate than the XBOX360.

Now, some of you are gonna yell ‘but the tar sucks!’ and I challenge all of you to try it. I am at least twice as accurate with an iron sight tar than a holographic scar. It could be the high rate of fire, but whatever it is, i am madly in love with it. So far I have come damn close to 2 nukes, and I’ve used it for only 1 day.
I hated the tar but after playing cod mw2 for a month now i tried the tar and i love it!!!
i use the RPD with the grip
im only rank 18 and im doing quite well

Thats because ur a nooby sprrayer who probably cant live without a gun that has a low ammo capacity or slightly low damage.

ok but seriously…thats the point of the game….kill the enemy before u get killed…call him a sprayer if u want but in the end ur the one who’ll bbe gettin killed by him beacuse u were usin a shitty slow gun with low ammo….

UMP 45 with rapid fire and acog
accuracy, damage, fire rate, and mobility all are filled to the top of the bar with this setup
with the acog the range bar filled 2/3
Matters on the map but sometimes ill swith to the red dot or take rapid fire off and put silencer on
noob set up but im lvl 22 prestige and when you get used to the acog, its better than the AK
you get the UMP at lvl 9 or something

right now I have the m16 with the holographic sight and slieght of hand, hardline and steady aim as the three perks. I have final stand as my deathstreak and care package, pred missile and ac130 as killstreaks.
Dude best hardline thing to go with is aug hbar with thermal scope and grip, hardline, steady aim and car package, harrier, and ac 130 or choppeer gunner as ur killstreak
for now since im first pretige lvl 67 i use “m16a4 bling [silencer and red dot],and for a secondary ethier akimbo eagles or models. perks 1. bling 2. stopping power 3. ninja oh these perks can be pro they work beter that way but if u dont its ok. also if ur good like me tell campers to watch out and if u suck watch out for campers. when i get to lvl 70 my class will be “ak47 bling [red dot,silencer] and as my secondary same as above ur choice and the same perks NOTE:SEARCH AND DESTROY CLASS ONLY BEASTLY CLASSES HERE DONT USE FOR ANY THING ELSLE BUT SEARCH AND DESTROY

dude, silencer sucks. Let them come, just make sure you know where they’ll come from. Rank only says that you play a lot, not that you play well.

well siliencer is pretty gud for an UMP because it actually reduces recoil and increases accuracy but limits ur range which sucks for an smg but for lmg’s grip is the best
Dude, if youre gonna have stopping power on there, use the famas it always kills in one shot, the m16 usually kills in two unless you get a head shot… I use the ump45 red dot, silencer.

perk2:stopping power(makes the ump kill in four shots guaranteed)

You rarely snipe but you have fall camo? wow! I am about 60% sniper whenever i play and i still only have red tiger.
@aaron he boosted lol. everyone does. Get a friend and go to 3rd person cage and have them join ur match and itll be 1v1s were u can do anything.

Well i have my M16 with holo sight stopping power and fmj. its a one shot kill on reg variants and works very well. my gamertag is kaylip4 so hit me up if you wanna play
that set up sounds nice… just started using my acr with silencer and fmj(bling pro)
forever been using light weight and ninja pro perks but I’ll def try the stopping power with fmj.

I mainly use two different type of weapons,
1. RPD as main weapon with grip and spaz-12 for secondary. Throwing knife and stun grenades. Sleight of hand, stopping power and steady aim.
2. M16 with holographic sight and spaz-12. Throwing knife and stun grenades. Sleight of hand, stopping power and steady aim.
My kill streaks are mainly Attack Helicopter, Chopper Gunner and Care Package.
Akimbo P90s with rapid fire, thumper secondary.
bling, stopping power, steady aim.

secondary: m9 tactical knife
perks: marathon, lightweight and commando. with a throwing knife
large maps: primary: intervention fmj and thermal.
secondary: raffica with fmj and silencer
perks: bling pro, stopping power and commando with a claymore.
Deathstreak: laststand
Killstreak: predator missile, pavelow/harrier strike and ac130/ chopper gunner.

why would you have bling on akimbo p90's? it makes no sense. you can only shoot from the hip with akimbo.

I have a UMP5 with Red Dot sight and silencer due to my bling – which is now pro – perk. I also have stopping power pro, and steady aim pro. My equipment is a claymore – as enemies always seem to flank me. My killstreak rewards are: UAV, Careb package – Awesome awesome little randomized device – and…meh i forgot the name of the chopper – the heavy armoured one – that you can call after 9 kills. I’m pretty rapeage. In my last game, i got 33 kills, and 3 deaths.

I have just won the ‘pro’ on the rape perk, it replaces your flash bang with Rohypnol tablets

best way to hold down a advantagious spot and really good for payback kills

I think these are better than flash because they slow ur enemy down alowing for a better shot

You said you shot through a riot shield with the modals You cant shoot through shields dumb ass!!!
little faggot if you knew anything you would know that a riot shield eventually gives for a few seconds and bullets go through. But i guess you die after 1 kill with a riot

Stopping Powder increases the amount of gun powder you place into your single fire flintlock pistol and/or Musket for added Pizazz!! HURRAH!!

I agree about Thermal Scope..I’m yet to find any advantages to having it equipped.
you just gotta know how to use the thermal scope it makes it a sure shot unles ur trying to get in someones face and shoot em then u can use ur secondary weapon

Scrambler is a terrible perk kid, it messes up your opponents radar when you’re near them so pretty much they know when you’re near them, use something else

he’s right actually. as my name says.. all it does is set them up to start hunting you down. i have little to no trouble ever finding who is around me after i know they are there cuz the scrambler. and i normally kill them before they know i’m there… you should use something else and be more open to suggestions.. and be less of a dick.
also.. you should rely on your map as much as you sound like you do.. cold blooded will f*ck your day up.. what good is your map if you dont see anybody on it? except for when some kid comes by with a scrambler so you know they are there. then its good.

Dude scrambler sucks. Who cares if I cant see my radar? Ever play hardcore? its called listen for your opponent. I’m sure you wouldn’t know how to do that though because you spend all your time playing with no skill in team deathmatch using akmibo p90s
i use scrambler with heartbeat heh heh u know their location when they camp and wait for me with my scrambler =)
trench coat is right, when you think about it, scrambler does the exact opposite you want it to do,
you want to be invisible on radar? well good luck when their map goes fuzzy and they instantly know that there is someone within 20 feet of them

I use the tar with a holographic sight and silencer, secondary is now a m93 raffica, just got it and am building it up to use the red dot and silencer. i may go back to pp2000 in that set up though..

Why are so many people mad when your use a tube? Dude I am Lvl 32 and seem to only be comfortable with a tube on my scar or a P90 rapid fire with a red dot or a scope. I can pump a clip or 2 at some one and get shot once and die with them still standing. What am I doing wrong besides sucking?

So if you got a problem with that suck it up and eat it.
If you play team death match…. and watch the kill cam…. you can actually see they are shooting more than 1 bullet at you. Thats just what you see from your side. Well atleast most of the time. Unless sniped etc….
