Acer Liquid A1: Shipping Details
By: Jamie Pert | November 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentOver the last month or so we have heard quite a lot regarding the upcoming Acer Liquid A1 handset, back in mid-October we heard that the handset had been officially announced, then we saw a hands-on, detailed specifications and a review.
We have now heard that the handset will begin shipping later this month (in the UK), it is expected to cost around £286 pre-tax, however most UK carriers will probably offer the handset for free when a contract is agreed.
The handset quite disappointingly will come with Android 1.6, however the handset may be upgradeable to Android 2.0 (Éclair). The handset will be pretty impressive as it features a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
It is thought that the 1GHz Snapdragon has been underclocked to 768MHz, probably to increase the handsets stability, find out more on SlashGear.
