Call of Duty: Activision looking to make more money from gamers
By: Alan Ng | November 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentActivision has revealed that they plan to introduce new features to their Call of Duty franchise in the future, as a way of monetising the game’s various online features.
As reported from Eurogamer, the news was revealed in a recent conference with Activision exec Tom Tippl. It looks like this is ‘definitely’ going to happen as the quote: ”expect us to test and ultimately launch additional online monetisation models” was heard in the conference.
It doesn’t look as if they are worried about a backlash from gamers who won’t want to pay more, as Tippl explained that there are many features and services that gamers are requesting to put into the game.
Interesting one this. Let us know your thoughts on this, good idea or not?
