AT&T getting LG Shine II and BlackBerry Curve 8520
By: Peter Chubb | November 16, 2009
The LG Shine II was seen all the way back in August, well now AT&T have officially announced that they will be offering the handset to its customers. The U.S. cell phone carrier will also be offering the BlackBerry Curve 8520; both handsets are evolutions of their predecessors.
According to Engadget, not much has changed from the original Shine to the Shine II; maybe they did not want to change what was already considered a great phone. The handset comes with a basic 2-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch LCD screen, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth, 3G and much more.
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 has made a trip over from T-Mobile to AT&T, its new home. The handset will come with Edge date as well as that very useful optical pad that has been proving very popular over at T-Mobile USA.
The LG Shine II will be released on November 22 and will cost $119.99 following a mail-in-rebate. The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8520 is released on the same day as the Shine II, but only costs $99.99 after a mail-in-rebate.
Let us know what handset out of the two you will be purchasing.
