Blackberry 9700: Walmart Incentive

The release of the BlackBerry 9700 has been a long time coming, but now the launch of the Bold 2 is almost upon us. We know that the latest RIM handset will be launched on T-Mobile on November 16 and Walmart have a superb incentive for their customers who wish to get hold of one.

Walmart are offering a $100 gift card with any new BlackBerry purchase from November 14 to 20. This means that you could get $100 off the new BlackBerry 9700, but you will have to wait from four to six weeks to get your gift card sent to you. It is not certain if you will receive it in time for Christmas.

It would have been nice for Wal-Mart to allow you to get the new handset for just $99.99, but I suppose we have to make do with what we get offered. BGR does say that if you do get your gift card before Christmas, just think what you can get for it. I would rather save the gift card for the January sales, allowing you to get much more for your money.
