Google Mac Chrome Beta: In time for Christmas
By: Peter Chubb | November 13, 2009 | Leave a CommentFor those of you Mac users who have been wondering how long it will be before Google Mac Chrome Beta is made available to you, then you will be pleased to learn that it will be in December, making it the perfect Christmas gift for you.
The beta version of Chrome 4.0 is already available for Windows users, but the very rough developer preview version is available for Linux and Mac OS X. The latest feature on the updated browser is its customization through extensions; this is something that has proved very popular with Firefox.
Google have called their version Browser Actions, and is something that they have been looking into for some time now. The new features allow for users to interact with extensions, this is done by using a button on the upper right of the Chrome browser window.
At the moment, Browser Actions is only running on Windows and Linux versions of the Google Chrome browser, Mac users will have to wait a while so developers can play catch-up. However, developers seem to work around the clock, so should not be that long to wait.
You are advised you to download the beta version of Google Mac Chrome once available; this will give you much longer to polish up your experience.
