
G.Skill’s new Falcon II Solid State Drives
By: Jamie Pert | November 12, 2009 | Leave a CommentG.Skill International Co. Ltd have recently announced their latest range of SSD’s, these SSD’s are called the Falcon II SATA II 2.5” solid state drives.
G.Skill are well known for manufacturing extreme performance memory along with extremely reliable solid-state storage solutions, these new drives all come with two years warranty.
The drives are available in a range of storage capacities, these capacities are 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, performance for the different storage capacities slightly differs.
The 64GB drive is said to deliver a read speed of 220MB/Sec and its write speed is 110MB/Sec, whereas the other two capacities deliver a read speed of 220MB/Sec and a write speed is 150MB/Sec.
The components used within the drives include Intel’s 34nm NAND flash memory, an Indilinx ECO controller and a large 64MB DRAM cache.
Currently we do not know anything regarding a definite price and release date, however as we find out more we will keep you informed, find out more on HotHardware.
