Black Friday Ads: Full 2009 recap so far
By: Peter Chubb | November 12, 2009
We mentioned in an earlier post that Black Friday seems to be starting earlier each year, and it looks as though it will last the whole of November 2009. We have already covered a number of Black Friday Ads, some much better than others. So what do we know so far?
We have already seen a number of Black Friday Ads appear from the larger retails stores, such as Kmart, Sears, and Toys R Us. We still await ads from Wal-Mart, but they recently had a Black Friday pre-sale last Saturday. We are certain that their full ad will be made available soon.
So let us take a closer look at the retailers who have already released their Black Friday Ads and see how many products they have up for offer. AAFES has 63 items up for sale and Ace Hardware has 56, so very close there.
Craft Warehouse has 59, but Half Price Books only have four, this is certain to change soon. Harbor Freight has 14 deals on their ad, but this is dwarfed by the 471 deals that Kmart are offering.
Kohls have even more with 776, whereas Lowe’s has 131. Sears is another store offering a huge amount of deals with 664, but the retailer with the most deals from their Black Friday Ad is Toys R Us with 811 deals to be had.
