The Secret of Monkey Island for iPhone: Detailed Review

Almost 20 years since the games original release, the popular “The Secret of Monkey Island” adventure game has now been released at the App Store.

It has been at least 10-12 years since I played the game, therefore my memory of the game is not great, however the fact that I remember it proves just how good it was at the time.

From what I remember this game delivered on many different levels, it was funny, challenging and enjoyable, and now you can re-live the fun by spending $8 for the game at the App Store, there is also a free lite version available.

This game will surely get its critics (mainly those of you who missed out on pre Windows 95/98 gaming), however for those of you wanting to test your brain whilst commuting etc this may be the perfect game for you.

According to MacWorld’s (in my opinion overcritical) review the fundamentals are all the same as before, the graphic are said to be improved and the sound is great, check out MacWorld’s full article here.
