QuickBooks 2010 (for Mac): Review

By: Jamie Pert | November 11, 2009 | 1 Comment

A recent article on MacWorld has taken a look at QuickBooks 2010 and reviewed it, overall the software gets pretty well received, however it is not perfect.

One new feature which is a huge plus for the software is the ability to accept credit/debit card from within QuickBooks, although this initially costs $60 to set up and then an additional $20 per month this will be a huge benefit to many.

As previously mentioned not all is good, QuickBooks 2010 fails to offer multi-user capabilities, also there are no features which allow cross-platform data files nor is there any addition to allow online bill pay.

Rather than repeat what MacWorld have said I would strongly advise checking out their fully detailed article.

Intuit’s QuickBooks 2010 for Mac is currently selling for $199.95, if you would like to purchase the software check out the official site, this site also features full details on system requirements etc.

Will you be buying QuickBooks 2010? If not why not?

I will not be updating Quickbooks. No bill pay and no multi-user. Intuit says Mac users have different uses than PC people. Soooo, I guess the Mac users that have a higher income than PC users don’t use bill pay because we are not computer savvy enough. Or is it that Inuit figures we just hire someone to pay all our bills by hand? for once, just once I would like Intuit to say, “We are not going to put those features in because we don’t want to spend the R&D and we just don’t think it is worth it.” Not “Mac users have different needs.” Please don’t insult us.
