Orange’s iPhone 3GS: Data Limitations not as Strict as First Thought

When we first heard that Orange would be capping their iPhone’s data plan to 750MB many customers thought that the limit was too excessive, however at the time Orange stood by their decision.

Although Orange still stand by their limit it now seems that they will not cut off users who abuse their data allowance, Orange recently stated that they do not call the limit a cap, and they will not charge users who use more than 750MB.

Instead Orange have stated that the 750MB is merely a guideline that they would prefer all customers to aim for, one block that Orange have however put in place is a block on downloads of over 10MB in size (I very much doubt this applies for the App Store).

Following Oranges reported record breaking launch of the iPhone yesterday I find it surprising that Orange didn’t make this clear previously, as these limitation originally put customers off, find out more on TechRadar.
