Nokia N900 release: Launch video is Droid-esque

Following on from our report yesterday, which informed you that the Nokia N900 is now shipping pre-orders, the cell phone giant have released a new launch trailer for the N900.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, the ad is over 2 minutes in length and for those of you who have seen the Motorola Droid Stealth Ad, it will certainly bring back a lot of similarities between the two.

We know that the Nokia N900 is now shipping in the U.S and some countries in Europe, but other regions have yet to be confirmed yet.

Check out the launch video below and let us know your thoughts on it. No doubt they ‘borrowed’ ideas from the Droid, but its still a great ad.

Let us know what you think of it.

N900 was supposed to be shipping before we even knew about Droid … This video has been for sure sitting on a shelf for months waiting for final shipping date.

I also think that the first part of this film (empty room, have you seen it?) was published before the Droid ads.

So I don’t think they are copying Droid ad. Everybody copying the collective idea that is hip right now.
