Nokia N900 release: Has yours arrived?

With news pouring out all over the place that the Nokia N900 is now shipping to customers in the U.S and parts of Europe, we’d actually like to find out if any of you have been lucky enough to have received your N900 already.

We say that, as I currently have one pre-ordered (in the UK), but have yet to receive any notification as to when it will reach me. The general conclusion for shipping seems to be November 16th, but after news of the recent shipping, hopefully units will start to arrive early.

Its a shame the phone was delayed actually, as it seems like the hype for the Nokia N900 has died down a little, especially in the U.S with the launch of the BlackBerry Storm 2 and Motorola Droid handsets on Verizon.

    Same…I have one on order with Nokia UK but as yet to receive any kind of confirmation which is very disappointing as the statement ‘started shipping’ is very very loose!

    No movement from Amazon UK. I sent an email to customer service today requesting information now that the N900 is ‘available’ and got a form response stating delivery by December 2nd.

    I placed my preorder with Dell (US) and have not received a shipment notification.

    Last I heard was that if you pre-ordered your phone 2 months ago it was shipped yesterday (11.10) other than than it will be shipped at the end of the month.

    I ordered mine directly from nokia on sept 29th and havnt heard anything yet… hopefully soon =)

    Same, ordered mine from nokia UK, and haven’t heard anything, so many conflicting reports as to when we will get them. Will be interesting to see when others get theirs.

    I ordered mine from BLT and all they indicate is a ETA into their warehouse of November 18. Personally I think it will be a miracle if it actually ships to me before christmas. Nokia are hopeless!!

    So here is what I did….
    I placed a pre-order via nokia usa and buy.com
    No ship confirmation from either one. Nokia gives me next to no eta. Buy.com tells me they plan to ship (pre-orders only) by Nov 22nd. Though i am very excited about the N900, I am also very disappointed with the delays. Guess they decided to slow things down and letting the buzz of the droid releases die down???

    I have had mine on pre-order from mobile phones direct since October (official nokia retailer). Have just had confirmation that it has been delayed, and they dont know when it will now be dispatched (in the UK)! very frustrating! Is a phone really worth this wait? Flagship Nokia store said they arrived, but had bugs with them and didnt work with any network providers! – does not exactly inspire me with confidence!

    Just spoke to Nokia UK about my pre-order of 11/11/2009 and they told me that it will be shipped this week. I asked if there was likely to be any delay in shipping and they said, without hesitation, there would be no delay and it would ship this week for sure. If the order status changes to ‘shipped’ I’ll post here…

    Ok so here is what I think is good news. Lets keep our fingers crossed because so far “N900 shipping” means nothing.

    If you’re in the UK don’t hold your breathe. Mobilesphonesdirect which runs Nokia retail in the UK has pushed back it’s pre-order delivery date to ‘End of Nov’. They have an online ‘Q&A’ with a customer service rep and when i asked them would i get mine by the end of the month, the reply was “Hope so”!! Helpful. I’ve heard on the grapevine that Europe has the stock but they want to release the phone in the US 2 days before and because they haven’t got the stock yet, it’s delaying everyone else! Hope that’s not true.

    Good luck with that, I ordered mine in October and they told me the End of the month but more likely to be beginning of Dec.

    If you do not know already, the N900 has been pushed back again. The latest information from Nokia, is that the handsets have started shipping from Finland and should be on the market (in our possession) for the last week of November.

    then it goes on telling you loads of boring stuff about the their website.

    I am also stressed about N900… Nokia keeps delaying it :/ what is the reason though?
    By the way I went on the polish nokia’s website and nokia says that the product is going to be available in Poland on 23rd of November… I have no clue if its true or not, but maybe this might be the date when every retailer in Europe will get it and will start shipping it to customers… We can only hope…

    Well, true to form the N900 didn’t ship as Nokia said it would. But as Matt says above, http://shop.nokia.co.uk also now have on their N900 page ‘Estimated delivery date: week commencing 23rd November.’
    Seems likely that shipping might just begin for real.
    Although the Nokia definition of ‘estimated’ is questionable…

    Just had a webchat with MPD who operate NokiaRetail in the UK.
    Asked if the N900 was due to ship to pre-order customers this week… no.
    Asked if the N900 was due for releasethis month… no.
    Asked when the N900 was due to start shipping to pre-order customers… beginning of Dec.
    Asked is this was a general ‘Start of’ guideline from Nokia or if they had a firm date… Dec 3rd.
    Asked if they had the N900 in stock and were waiting for a GO from Nokia… no, not in stock.

    Bummer…

    this is crap, were all getting different information, just phoned MPD and they said they were expecting to get stock on the 4th december! worst date yet!!

    Your all lucky, I ordered from MPD on 23rd october, had one email first time it was delayed an nothin since, they never answer the phone an dont reply to my emails!!!!! I have bin without a phone for six weeks now waiting for this!!! think some-ones takin the piss!!!! if I dont get an email by or on the 3rd sayin its been dispatched both nokia an MPD can shove it, i’ll go elsewere for somethin else!!! first nokia in over ten years an I personally think this is a disgrace not a turning point in the companies history!!!!!

    I called several times, ordered mine on 9-17, reordered early nov, and got my tracking email on tues. phone arrived wed and am loving it. still learning things, but loving the feel and look. They’re on their way to early ordeeers now, so keep you eyes pealed for the email. I got mine at 10pm tues, phone left these 4pm and was at my door the next day. If you reodrered and got express shipping, you’l prob get overnight as well!

    I pre-ordered the Nokia N900 on 18th September. I have received emails informing me that the phone release has been put back several times. However, my last email ensured me as I had pre-ordered the phone, I am on a priority list for despatch and I would have my phone by 3rd December ……… I live in hope!

    Probably the most useless email i have ever seen tbh :S
    I hope dec 3rd is the date, but by looking at this, maybe not. My current contract runs out in a few days so i am
    hoping it comes by the end of the week

    The first and last time i will deal with Nokia Retail, i have received no info on delays at all, has anyone noticed that even on the 30 november their website is still quoting “delivery Late November” they fortunately covered themselves by quoting November 2009.

    preorded….then nokia canx it because of “difficulty” with tesco visa. (visa said they get a lot of it with nokia!). Re-ordered the preorder and told should ship thurs(26) as there was “plenty of stock”. This is now being described by nokia care as an incorrect statement. I am waiting til the weekend then I will cancel and buy something else, even if it is inferior I dislike my nokia experience so much now I am unwilling to give them any money.

    Nokia, a well established company is using the hype of the release of this phone to their advantage! All of us consumers who pay top dollars/ our hard earned money to get something like a phone to make our lives easier, are giving a chance to Nokia to come up in this economy, but its sad to see a company like this unable to deliver to its consumers on time! Some one at Nokia is not doing their job right! Customer service at Nokia is horrible! They don’t even answer phone calls. All some customers need are answers! And Nokia can’t even have their associates pick up their phones? Its a shame to see Nokia fail their customers! Soon everyone will get tired of this sham and find themselves better phones from companies that will deliver! Nokia sucks! I’m taking my business elsewhere!

    check the maemo talk threads out, this is an absolute joke, nokia should be ashamed to say they are a mobile retailer with a reputation to regenerate, I personally cannot stand apple in any respect (mobile or computing) but if this phone isn’t here by monday I will switch as its the only viable replacement to me, I dont like anything else on the market, just highly let down by nokia an will never even consider them again, even on the release of maemo 6. WELL DONE NOKIA!!!!!! an were’s our emails in way of (or as a substitute for the handset) an apology?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    Mine finally arrived from Mobile Phones Direct on Saturday 4th December! It seems to be a very good phone, almost worth the wait!
