Intel Reader: For Users with Learning Disabilities
By: Jamie Pert | November 11, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen I saw that Intel’s latest device is called the Intel Reader I automatically assumed that this was another eReader to compete with Amazon’s Kindle etc, however upon close inspection the device offers a completely different function to eReaders.
The Intel Reader has been created for users who have learning disabilities or people with reading difficulties, the device has a built-in camera, this allows users to take photos of text, it is then inputted in text format on the device, the device can then read the text out-loud to you.
Currently we have heard nothing regarding pricing and a release date, however as we find out more we will keep you informed, check out SlashGear for further details.
