Today seems to have been a big day for job cut announcements, earlier we heard that Sprint and Adobe would be cutting jobs, we are now hearing that Electronic Arts will be doing the same.

It is currently thought that EA will be cutting 1,500 jobs in total, 900 of these job will be cut from its studios operation, there will also be 500 jobs cut from their publishing business and 100 jobs cut from corporate positions.

It is though that all of these job cuts will save the company $100 million annually, following a recent report of a $391 million loss it is no huge surprise.

Jobs are not the only thing being cut, according to DigitalSpy’s website 12 previously unannounced development projects have also been scrapped, find out full details on DigitalSpy.
