My charecter is spinning 360 degree’s on the first mission, is that normal? I took the game back to bestbuy got another one, and the problem still exists.

Unfortunately im off work this week and hoped to get some serious online gaming done, Will have to wait until Friday, still i am playing single player.

yeah my 2 brothers and i cant play online because of a server problems.. for the most anticipated game of the year im pretty pissed! therefore im getting my money back and who ever the person is who developed the patches or the programs is an idiot!!

just updated to 1.02 patch on ps3, and am able to get past where most have said, and JUST got online for a game…

seems to have been the servers, not the update??

Same here, i got the game for me B-Day from partner and i booked the 11th of work (as that was B-Day) and by the time i got online (about 1:40pm) i was unable to connect????? a full amount of ONE DAY of work that i had the time to sit, relax and play and i could not even do that (F**KING ASS HOLES) Maybe next time you should use a better QA TEAM, If i released a product like this i would lose my job in a heart beat but then again i work hard and do my job i guess they just wanted the money and F**K the users.

WTF, sat at home last night, quietly eating my tea after a ball breaking day at work, let my 2 year old daughter watch god damn mickey mouse for half an hour (i hate that mouse)then excitedly switched on the PS3 and got ready to do some damage on MW2 only to find there was another 15mb update (2nd one in two days) and this one screwed up the ability to go online with the game! whats the point? Going out to buy an X Box 360 had enough of this sony update bollocks!!

Anybody know how to defintely switch off all the really bad stuff (airport etc) so I let my 15 year old have a go?

If you selected ‘no’ at the start of the game, meaning that you didn’t mind the violence contained in the game, then there is no way to reverse this decision mid-game. My advice for you is to start your 15 year old off on a level after the airport scene, as you can select missions in the campaign menu. The game is an 18 for a reason though!

well, except for the invite part, but we found a way around that. couple extra steps and it works too.

Try restarting your PS3 or sign out of friends and in again..it should work the 2nd time.

I’ve read the posts and it seems you are all having the same problem (for the most part). When the game doesn’t connect to a server, or states that it’s loading or updating etc., then back out of the MP and try it again. If that doesn’t work, then select quit game and try it again. To the person doing 360s at the start of the game, simply turn your controller off, then turn it back on. My gosh, you’d think this was the first time any of you have ever played a video game and/or the first gaming console that any of you have ever owned.

Least you guys can get the bloody thing to run, i’m stuck at the START button and cannot get any further!!!

The Sony servers had problems – yes.
They resolved that within 24 hours.
The XBox-360 version used the MS servers (that’s why you have to pay MS to use the internet on your XBox – LOL)
Thus for XBox there was no new software for handling online play – just the old MS stuff that has been tested … for how many years?

Gamers have discovered that there were a number of bugs on the PS3 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward are already aware of this problem and have announced that a patch will be released to fix these issues shortly.

The two bugs are trophy and party invite issues, Robert Bowling; Infinity Ward’s community manager has been taking feedback on these issues from Twitter and Tweeted the developer’s intentions about the upcoming patch.

According to Digital Spy, Bowling Tweeted, “Thanks for the feedback from PS3 players. We already have a patch in the wings for release,” he also said, “Trophy update asap. Party invites update by Friday.”

The problem occurs when users try to connect to their friends to play online matches. The second issue occurs in single player mode, certain users have said that trophies have not been unlocking for them.

We have just learned from ps3attitude.com that the update has now been made available. The patch for MW2 is called download version 1.02, the update has a file size of 15MB. This patch will only solve the trophies issue; we are still waiting for the party invite to be resolved, as we said, this should be available on Friday.

Modern Warfare 2 is all set to become the most popular video game of all time, we recently mentioned that Modern Warfare 2 is the Biggest Ever Entertainment Product Launch. We PC-Gamers have been regulated as NONFACTORS. We simply do not matter to IW or the success of this game. Many people will argue that we are the reason the industry exist or this game series exist specifically. However, it does not matter. We may be the single reason this series has gotten here; however, it is clear the success it now enjoys is not due to PC-Gamers but the Play Station 3 and the XBOX 360.

Makes me wonder, if the Playstation 3 and/or XBOX360 people demanded dedicated servers and the ability to “MUTE EVERYONE” or the ability to kick unwanted people or create MOD if they would let the XBOX and PS3 people do it.

Sorry my last post was made… and it was at work (still am) and I messed it up a bit… the end should be more or less what I wanted to say plus more…

IW lied to us… PLAIN and SIMPLE. Did you know “THEIR” biggest point was… “It’s totally new code” and the new code did not support the features (which I always thought that IW had either poor programmers or something was strange). Did you know some of the PC players have already bought the game and looked into the code and was able to discover these features like the console and how to create dedicated servers? I have been reading and viewing G4tv and it was mentioned several PIRATE servers populated – where those dedicated pirated player servers had special rules and games other than IW approved ones and were effecting the “official” ranking of the game and other players scores and all that jazz.

So the modders were still able to put in dedicated servers and specialized rules for the servers. In fact, the PlayStation 3 version has an option to “KICK” people out – but no way to kick them. Which leads me to believe that it is very possible to do this, even on the PS3 version. Why does IW treat us like kids and believe they can lie to us? Because, they can and still make great money. Most people do not care about these features and dont care.

This leads me to believe that IW purposely withheld the information and abilities away from us. I have my theory that THEY wanted to treat us like the console version and hoped that we either give up playing on the PC side and start playing XBOX or PS3. The way how I see the sales… most companies would call the sales from the Playstation 3 alone a major game seller – and the XBOX360 version sold even more. The PC sales have been low, but still enough people bought the game to justify their actions – I am sure.

IW has said from the beginning that they wanted to make sure the PS3 version was the same as the XBOX360 version. In Modern Warfare 1, the XBOX was superior, from what I have been told. Yet I have also been told = the two are different, still!

Patch won’t download, EVER.

I bought the game the day it came out and I still haven’t been able to fully download a single update! Now it’s up to 1.04 and the update will get to anywhere from 6 to 65% and just STOP for no reason. I’ve signed into the PS network and downloaded a demo from the PS store since getting the game so I know my connection works. I also tried deleting my game utility data. Anyone have any other tricks?

Yeah well at least you get patches for your free online gameplay. on the 360 there are multiple problems with online and there has been no patch. We have to pay for out shit to be terrible.

everytime i go online i get stuck on the part where it is fetching playlists, updating rank and unlocks, and connecting to matchmaking server. im the only with the problem. I tried my all my other friends modern warfare 2 and theirs works fine

i hav problems but i found that if u go on cod 4 then play 1 match then go on 2 cod 6 it works but if ur ps3 is warm it dosen't work i hav had it with the problem they better fix it
