Modern Warfare 2: PC Steam users miss out on fun

By: Alan Ng | November 10, 2009 | 6 Comments

We haven’t found out the exact reason why yet, but it has been reported that users of Steam who have pre-loaded Modern Warfare 2, will have to wait until ‘Thursday’ to play it. Let the head scratching begin.

As reported from VG247, users who have opted for the PC retail version are unaffected, so its specifically Steam users who have been made to wait a few days longer.

Until we hear official word from Valve, we can only assume that the delay is to let the retail copy shift as many sales as possible, then the digital version will be available.

Still a bummer for all those who had pre-loaded ages ago though. Let us know your thoughts on this. We’ll let you know once a official statement is released.

I was about to buy this game if I could download it tonight.

I won’t buy it from a box and i won’t have time to sit around playing video games for a long time, so i’d just like to go on the record that there are plenty of lost buyers when publishers can’t break free from old mentalities.
