Modern Warfare 2: Broken Street Date makes records

SimplyGames MD Neil Muspratt has gone on record to say that the official street date for FPS shooter Modern Warfare 2 is the most broken in history. His comments come after various retailers disregarded the November 10th release date, risking the wrath of Activision in the process.

As reported from Eurogamer, it is thought that some retailers received Modern Warfare 2 stock as early as Wednesday, while we also told you yesterday that GameStop were selling copies early to keep up with the competition from other retailers.

Broken street dates seem to be a growing problem, especially with the launch of such a huge multiplatform title such as Modern Warfare 2. Add to the fact that supermarkets are willing to cut the price of the game by as much as 50%, then we have a interesting problem on our hands.
