Dell Mini 9 Motion-sensitive Tablet: Best Mod Yet
By: Peter Chubb | November 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentSince netboooks first came onto the market people have been taking them apart to see what they can do with them, the most popular mod is turning them into PC tablets. This latest mod turns a Dell Mini 9 into a motion-sensitive tablet and have to say looks the best yet.
This latest netbook hack has been done by rock99rock, a MyDellMini forum member. The guy transformed his Dell Inspiron Mini 9 into a touchscreen tablet running on the new Windows 7 OS, that’s not all, there are motions sensors to sense motion orientation, much like what the iPhone has.
The motion controller works best with ActionXL Wired Motion Controller, liliputing.com informs us that this will cost just $20. You will also need software that will allow the motion control system to work correctly; this is certainly a feature that makes this the best netbook mod.
The biggest change and the most worrying is removing the keyboard, there is a lot of electronics work involved, this mod is not for the faint hearted. However, it is a mod that will leave you very satisfied at the end of it.
