BlackBerry Storm2: Need For Speed Shift Video

During RIM’s BlackBerry Developers Conference RIM revealed that future BlackBerry OS versions will support OpenGL ES for 3D graphics acceleration, this should seriously broaden the horizons for their handsets.

A video has recently been posted on IntoMobile (which can also be seen at the end of this post), the video shows the BlackBerry Storm2 running Need For Speed: Shift, the video is not the clearest but the graphics do look pretty impressive.

This development may allow BlackBerry handsets to appeal to a wider audience, currently BlackBerry handset seem to be more popular with enterprise-type users, however it seems these days that RIM want some more of Apple’s market share.
