We reported towards the end of last week that Walmart and Amazon were to offer a number of deals as part of a Black Friday 2009 pre-sale event, and we know that Target and Sears are also planning their own events on what has also been the busiest shopping day of the season.
Black Friday has always been a time when stores used to make most of their profits and enter profitability, but things have been getting harder year-on-year. The importance of Black Friday is slowly fading, but Cyber Monday is beginning to take its place, which we covered in another article.
Stores such as Amazon, Sears, Target and Walmart are now starting to get desperate, hence their decision to begin Black Friday earlier than ever this year.
