Early Black Friday 2009 Deals: Amazon vs Walmart

A number of stores including Kmart, Sears and Walmart all offered Black Friday Pre-sales on Saturday, but for each sale that Walmart offered it seems that Amazon had an answer for them. A number of deals on Amazon were very similar to those on Wal-Mart, such as the Xbox 360 Arcade with $100 promotional code.

Every two hours on the Amazon U.S. website, such items included HDTV deals from the likes of Sony and Toshiba. Things are set to get even busier for now on these sights, as 2009 has seen Black Friday begin earlier than ever as consumers search for a bargain.

I4U is certain that a number of malls were left looking a bit empty as shoppers stayed at home to see what Amazon had refreshed on their website as part of its two-hour deal schedule. This shows that Amazon was in a much stronger position than the likes of WalMart and proved this by offering these two-hourly deals.

There has been early Black Friday sales in recent years, but 2009 was more exciting. And the news of the price war between Amazon and Walmart is great news for shoppers as they fight for our custom.

What deal did you get this weekend?
