Call of Duty 7: New COD game coming to Xbox 360, PS3 in 2010 – Activision

You may remember us telling you about this way back in May, but Activision has recently confirmed that there will be another Call of Duty title released next year, most likely to release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
As reported from VG247, Activision confirmed the news during the release of their financial results for Q3 this year. While this has yet to be officially confirmed, you can assume that the next title will be handled by Treyarch, which will continue the trend of the COD developers switch each year with Infinity Ward.
As for a possible location for the game, rumors seem to indicate that Vietnam will be the setting for the game, although nothing is solid yet.
So there we have it. Maybe you knew this already, maybe you didn’t. But its coming for sure.

and yes IW is a very good and popular company but for pricks like you who thinks Trey arch generated from IW, are Sadly Mistaken. No Trey Arch DID NOT copy IW’s COD 4, IW’s COD 4 based their design off oh COD COD 2 COd3 and so on.. so to even talk down on trey arch is a dumbass thing to do, And yes MW2 was a very good game, and IW may overall be the better company. At least they would 2yrs to develop the game. i probably wont buy it thought. I loving Infinity Ward right. I skipped COD:W@W because it went back to WW2 era.

I wouldn’t have another IW title if you gave it to me. I love WaW but I won’t buy COD7 unless it has dedicated server support.

I’ll buy all Call of Duty games that is coming out in the near future. I have to thank Treyarch for their hard work, releasing three map packs and the insane zombies mode made my day complete.

It’s precisely BECAUSE of MW2\’s release that you NEED a different game, as MW2 is failure on the PC.
Console user will be happy no doubt, because it\’s more of the same. On the PC this is a downgrade, a laughable release.

sorry? , your goddamn wrong call of duty 1,2,3 and 5 were ww2 4 and 6 modern warfare , 1 may not be good, 2 its something , 3 its great , and 5 rocks with zombie mode, lots of people love ww2 because they love shooting nazis 4 and 6 are like an inspiration but call of duty ww2 games will always be here for us at least till call of duty 10 there will be ww2 games , and rumors of 7 being in vietnam , it acctually doesnt sounds too good , only if there are cool tropical jungles like in 5 , cause if not 7 will suck , oh and most call of duty lovers like ww2 , because, thats the way it started, and hell thats the way its gonna end! call of duty 4 life!
How can you say 1 is no good? 1 Started it all. COD 1 is the best. 2 is not traditional COD. 3 Was OK because it sorta brought back the traditional COD feeling with vehicles, but there wasn’t that many people who bought it comparatively. 4 was amazing with Modern Warfare. 5 Brought us back to WWII but for the first time ever, we were allowed to kill us some japs. MW2 is amazing to say the least. Modern Warfare is fun, but Call of Duty was made for WWII. Call of Duty is WWII. WWII is Call of Duty.

are you serieous, mdwf2 had the same graphics or maybe even better. the only good thing about Waw was its multyplayer, its campain suked ass. mwf2 had better campain with less cursing in it, i meen theres no need to put cursing in to a game.
There is a reason they put the cursing in… to make it more realistic. There was very little cursing in the game anyway, you can hear cursing all the time. Besides it is a war zone; Just about everyone will curse for doing somthing simple and common like stubbing your toe, or getting mud on a nice shirt, so its not hard to see maybe four to five times as much cursing as WaW in a real war.
I don’t see why anyone gives a damn about the era its all about multi player plain and simple. You play the story to get aquainted with new additions to the game. Not one cod has had good story replay… MW2 made a solid attempt with special opps but that still gets boring. We all buy the cod games for fresh maps and a sprinkle of hope that user feedback will be incorporated. I see a lot of shit talking going on here but the fact of the matter is that everyone of us has spent a collosal amount of time on this franchise so zip the lip pick up your sticks and keep on gaming
