Verizon have launched two new Google Android cell phones today, the much-anticipated Motorola Droid and the sneaky little HTC Eris, which came out of know where. Both phones are sure to do very well in sales, but what one out of the two Droid’s would you choose?
We mentioned a recent article that the Motorola Droid would be more expensive that the Eris, but you have to realize that you are getting more for your Buck. The former will cost $200 following a $100 mail-in-rebate; whereas the latter will set you back $100 after the same discount.
Engadget inform us that if you do not want to be tied into a service contract, then you can purchase the Motorola Droid as a handset only for $560, Gearlog has more information on this. This could be a popular option, as this one something that I did when the Apple iPhone 3GS launched.
With the launch of these two Google Android handsets, it now shows that Verizon are starting to get some decent smartphones. We recently wrote an article saying that Verizon did not have the best smartphones to compete with the likes of AT&T, what a difference a couple of months make.
