Nintendo Wii 2: No Wii HD release – Fils-Aime
By: Alan Ng | November 6, 2009 | 4 CommentsWell this bit of news is sure to disappoint the millions of Nintendo Wii owners out there who were clinging on to the hope that a new bit of kit was on the way. Nintendo America’s President, Reggie Fils-Aime has firmly stated that there is no existance of a Wii HD console and the company has ‘no’ plans to release one.
As reported from VG247, his comments were revealed in a Nintendo Special on GTTV. He added that analyst Michael Pachter seems to be the only guy who believes that a Wii HD is going to happen.
But in a direct quote, Fils-Aime stated: “I don’t know how forcefully we can say that there is no Wii HD.”
I believe the word ‘ouch’ is in order. Check out the Nintendo Special on Game Trailers here, watch from 19.09.
