Nintendo Wii 2: No Wii HD release – Fils-Aime
Filed under: Gaming, Nintendo Wii

Well this bit of news is sure to disappoint the millions of Nintendo Wii owners out there who were clinging on to the hope that a new bit of kit was on the way. Nintendo America’s President, Reggie Fils-Aime has firmly stated that there is no existance of a Wii HD console and the company has ‘no’ plans to release one.
As reported from VG247, his comments were revealed in a Nintendo Special on GTTV. He added that analyst Michael Pachter seems to be the only guy who believes that a Wii HD is going to happen.
But in a direct quote, Fils-Aime stated: “I don’t know how forcefully we can say that there is no Wii HD.”
I believe the word ‘ouch’ is in order. Check out the Nintendo Special on Game Trailers here, watch from 19.09.
Give us your reaction to the news. Bit of a bombshell we’d say.

Not really, all he’s saying is there’s no Wii HD – not there’s no Wii II coming, or the Wii Wii as I like to call it, that will have HD capabilities.
Pachter is an idiot anyway, why listen to him?
‘Wii Wii’ …imagine that!
Hmm… “There is no Wii HD” Sounds like a year or two ago when nintendo said “There is no DS 2″ Low and behold, the DSi was announced a month or so later. If there were prizes given out for “Best Secret Keeper” nintendo would get 1st place.
