The upcoming Motorola Droid is the most talked about cell phone for the end of 2009, what better way for Verizon to end the year, than what is thought to be a smartphone that could begin to nibble at the heels of the Apple iPhone. We are not saying that the Droid is better than the iPhone, but we are saying that the next batch of Android phones could spell danger for Appleās smartphone.
There have already been a bunch of reviews on the latest Google Android handset, with videos always offering a better option when seeing how well something performs. Let us take a look at a few of those video reviews to see what we can expect from the Motorola Droid.
Cnet.com has the first video review; they first talk about the design of the phone and how thin it is. They mention that it is about the same size as the iPhone 3GS, but a little thicker and blockier, but as the Droid has a slide up keyboard, this was to be expected. Watch the review, which is the first video below.
Mobile tech Review is the next review on our list, they start by giving us all the details that we already know, such as its release date and that it being the first Android 2.0 OS phone. They then go on to explain how the front of the handset is dominated by the large 3.7-inch touchscreen. See their full review, which is the second video below.
The final video that we have for you was only made yesterday, November 4 from Gear Live. Already the review has not got off to a good start; the lighting is not that great, but the review more than makes up for that. Watch the review; it is the third and last video below.
On another note, we recently learned that the Droid cell phone will be getting tethering by early 2010.
