HTC Droid Eris: Unboxing photos

We have some unboxing photos for you to look at now, for the HTC Droid Eris – the Verizon’s second Android handset that will be launching alongside the Motorola Droid on November 6th.

The photos come to us courtesy of BGR, and they give you a great chance to see the Eris up close and personal.

You’ll be correct in assuming that the Droid Eris looks a lot like the HTC Hero, but BGR reports that the Eris feels much lighter in the hand.

The downside to the phone, is that it will only ship with Android 1.5, but we are hearing that a 2.0 update might be available in the new year.
