Battery Life Review: Droid Cell phone

Before we decide on purchasing a new handset, such as the upcoming Motorola Droid cell phone we often search the Internet to find data on how long the battery will last on that product. This is often an exact science and can often become confusing, not so with the video that we have for you below.

Phandroid.com thought that they would offer its users a more precise way in working out the battery life of the Droid. The first thing that they did was the obvious, charging the phone to full capacity and then turning the brightness of the handset up to 100 percent.

The next step was to set the phone to never sleep, they then went on to install a number of MP3s on the SD Card and then told the phone to play all the music on a loop. The test even involved them using the Google navigation for around 60 minutes.

So what were the results I hear you ask, well the Droid handset lasted 7 hours and 1 minute. That is not too bad considering the load that was being put on it. The biggest drain on the battery is the huge vibrant screen; the best thing to do to get the most from the battery is to set the screen to “automatic” brightness.
