Verizon Motorola DROID to get tethering before iPhone
Filed under: Cell Phones, Handsets

Verizon Wireless will debut the Motorola DROID early on Friday and one feature that is missing is tethering. Verizon know that this is a feature that users will want and have hinted at an early 2010 launch, this should be before AT&T offer the service to iPhone customers.
It is no secret that many people look at the Motorola Droid is an almost perfect cell phone, but the feature of using the cell phone as a modem for use with your laptop on the go cannot come soon enough. According to Verizon, they will call this service the “Broadband Access Connect” plan.
According to Gear Log, this plan will cost about an extra $15 to your Droid service plan; this will come with a 5GB/month limit. If you go over your limit you will then be charged overage fees, which could add up to a lot of money each month.
Let us know if tethering is a feature that you will want on the Motorola DROID
