Just when you thought the Verizon iPhone rumors were starting to disappear with the arrival of the Motorola Droid, we have a fresh report for you to read now, which fuels rumors that a new 4th-generation iPhone device could be announced before April 2010.
The news is according to TheStandard, who have sourced Gizmodo on the recent rumors. Over in China, there has apparently been a manufacturers’ advertisement for a 4th generation iPhone Midboard.
This may not mean much to you at first, but China Ontrade had been correct in the past with claims of iPhone parts - as the iPhone 3GS was announced and released soon after.
Furthermore, we are hearing continued reports that AT&T’s exclusive deal with Apple for the iPhone is due to expire next year, so could this be Verizon’s turn to finally receive some iPhone goodness?
Let us know what you make of this, you can read more info through the link above.

I have been holding out for an iPhone for far too long. AT&T is the worst network in our area so no matter what i’d never switch from Verizon.
I’m thinking of going for the new DROID because its going to take a whole new iPhone to be compatible on Verizon networks……so it will be way too long until Verizon finally makes customers happy and gets the iPhone.
In my opinion the only reason AT&T still has customers is because people are in love with the apps the iphone offers. Once Verizon gets iphone and/or when droid gets similar and free apps all AT&T customers will jump ship…they know that so they will be holding on to that contract with all their might. No one is happy with AT&T coverage.
Im happy with AT&T!!!! I was with Verizon and they do NOT have the best because I couldn’t even make a call from my house in Dallas. When I would call Verizon about the problem they would just transfer all over the company and I never got my issue resolved, so I switched to AT&T and my Iphone worked great everywhere I go and I am a very happy customer.
I totally agree! The only reason I left Verizon was because none of their phones compared to the iPhone. But, if Verizon does get the iPhone, and I reallly, really hope they do, they better not jack up the rates, that’s another reason besides having the iPhone that AT&T manage to get so many to switch to them.
