Sony Ericsson Xperia X10: Detailed specs and availability
By: Alan Ng | November 3, 2009 | Leave a CommentAs expected, Sony Ericsson have lifted the lid on their next Xperia handset, by giving it an official unveiling today. Turns out that the handset will be known as the Xperia X10, not the X3 as previously thought.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, the Xperia will run on the Google Android operating system and will come equipped with version 1.6 of the software.
Specs include a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, plenty of multimedia options. HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack – something which should please Sony Ericsson fans.
We are also hearing that the X10 will feature an App called ‘Timescape’, which will be your communications app, giving you access to Facebook, Twitter, IM and SMS all in one easy-to-access location.
It is expected to be available in Q1 next year, with a list of regions including Japan and the US. Europe is expected to receive priority, but we’ll let you know once we hear more info on a solid release.
Expect hands-on photos of the Xperia X10 soon. Much more details over at Pocket-Lint.
