We already know that the Motorola Droid is the first Google Android cell phone to come on to the Verizon network, we also learned that the Droid will be released in Europe under a different, the MILESTONE. We know that there will be a few differences from the U.S. and European counterpart, but what are they.
The Motorola MILESTONE comes with the inclusion of multi-touch functionality and pinch and zoom, consumers in the U.S. will not be happy to hear that. This means that its 3.7-inch screen will offer a capacitive touchscreen allowing for gesture recognition.
The MILESTONE is like the iPhone in many ways but goes that little bit further, such as its FULL QWERTY keyboard. This allows you to be able to type while on a website without losing any screen size of that website. The handset destined for Europe also comes packed with a 5-megapixel camera and LED flash.
We already know the release date of the Motorola MILESTONE in Germany and Italy, but we still await the release date in the UK. Motorola were once the company to beat in the cell phone market in the UK many years ago, but times have changed. However, the launch of the Droid / MILESTONE is thought to be the start of their comeback. For more information, visit MobileBlog.
Do you think that the Motorola Droid Cell Phone will help the phone maker compete with the likes of Nokia or even Apple?
