Sky Player: PS3 version could happen soon
By: Alan Ng | November 2, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe have some news on the Sky Player for you to check out now, which is still unavailable for Xbox 360 users by the way. The big news today is that the service could be making it’s way to the Sony Playstation 3 console, according to Sky’s On Demand director Griff Parry.
As reported from VG247, Parry talked about the company’s desire to extend their service to any device which would be a good platform to support Sky TV. One of these is naturally the PS3 console, with Parry stating that the PS3 is ‘clearly a console which could do this’, and added that this ‘could may very well happen in the future.’
However, he was keen to mention that they are currently ‘very happy’ to be working with the Xbox 360, so a potential timeline for a PS3 version could be sometime away.
What do you think of his comments? Do you think it is another one of those timed-exclusive affairs? Wouldn’t surprise us.
