Nokia N900: Maemo Beta 4 Running Mozilla Firefox Video
By: Jamie Pert | November 2, 2009 | 1 CommentA recent video has been posted on IntoMobile which shows the highly anticipated Nokia N900 running Mozilla Firefox, this particular video features Jay Sullivan who is the Vice President of Mobile at Mozilla.
This particular N900 is said to be running Maemo Beta 4, and from what we see it looks pretty smooth and stable.
The video shows the basic functionality of the browser, including how sliding your finger to the right reveals open tabs with thumbnails, and when you slide your finger to the right you see navigation options.
When you view full HTML websites sometimes points of interests are extremely small, a simple double tap zooms into the correct area of the website, double tapping again then zooms you back out.
The video also shows how the handsets browser integrates with your Mozilla browser on your home PC, you can simply see recent tabs which were recently closed on your home PC, which when on the move is very handy.
The video also shows off how add-ons can be installed, this is said to the first handset browser which supports add-ons, I find the video extremely impressive, you can see the video on IntoMobile or below.
