Modern Warfare 2: Activision speaks on shocking footage
By: Alan Ng | October 29, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing on from the leaked Modern Warfare 2 video we told you about, which showed a rather shocking scene where innocent civilians were gunned down by terrorists, publisher Activision has today spoken out on the video.
As reported from Eurogamer, Activision have explained the ‘deep and gripping’ storyline that gamers will face when they get the chance to play through the single-player campaign mode.
When talking about the terrorist scene in particular, Activision stated the game is ”designed to evoke the atrocities of terrorism”.
It is also worth pointing out that players are greeted with a message in-game that states that the following scene contains disturbing violence and the scene is also skippable for those that are concerned.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the scene is controversial or is everyone making a big deal out of nothing?
