Kohjinsha dual-display netbook: Video Demo
Filed under: Computers, Laptops

Back in early October we first showed you the Kohjinsha dual-display netbook concept, the concept appeared at CEATEC 2009, at the time of the previous post we weren’t too sure how far the concept would go, however a video demo has recently showed up on SlashGear.
The video lasts two and a half minutes and can be seen at the end of this post, you can also see the video by checking out SlashGear’s article.
The dual-display netbook features two 10.1 inch displays, for the extended desktop to function properly the netbook is extremely reliant on the performance of AMD chips, within the netbook is an AMD Athlon NeoMV-40 processor. The laptop runs Windows 7 and supports up to 4GB of RAM.
Dual displays can have an extremely beneficial effect on peoples efficiency, it can allow reference material to be on one screen whilst a Word document is edited on another, also you can talk to friends online whilst watching a video on the other screen.
One of the things that has not yet been mentioned is battery life, I would imagine the netbooks battery life would suffer due to the fact that the powerful hardware within would require its fair share of power.
There have been no details regarding a released date, nor has there been much info regarding a definite price, however on the video it mentions that Kohjinsha want it to retail at under 100,000 Yen.
Would you consider buying a dual-screen netbook? If I had the money I think I would.
