Xbox 360 Sky Player: Service removed for Technical Issues

Earlier on, we informed you that Sky TV player had launched for UK Xbox 360 owners this morning. Sadly, the service has now been taken down due to a technical issue that has been found within the software.

As reported from VG247, Microsoft are now said to be working on the issue and hope to relaunch the service again tomorrow. No word on what exactly caused the problems, but Microsoft have said that it was best the service be removed completely while they fix it up.

Part of the statement reads: ”Sky Player engineers are hard at work to resolve the problem – we expect to have the full service available tomorrow.”

So there we have it. We’ll let you know once the service is back up and running.

The whole thing has been badly executed. Signing up online to join takes ages to complete with constant time-outs, and the your profile page just never, ever, ever loads. Its a joke!
