Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid Event: Multi-tasking Capabilities

Today Verizon Wireless are holding a media event in which they are releasing details regarding the upcoming Motorola Droid handset along with details regarding the Google Android OS.
Over the course of the day we will keep you updated regarding what details have been revealed for the handset, you can also keep up-to-date by checking out WallStreetJournal’s Live-Blog.
The event started at 9.30am EST, and almost initially they took a slight dig at Apple’s iPhone, by talking about the Droid’s (and other Google Android handsets) capability of multi-tasking, Apple’s iPhone can only handle single processes at a time, whilst this is good for performance this does cut down the handsets functionality.

Some minor design issues and multimedia quibbles aside, the Motorola Droid is the most powerful and fastest Google Android device to date. It fully embraces the openness of the Android platform and offers Verizon customers a smartphone that certainly rivals the other touch-screen devices on the market.
