
Torchlight game aims to take spotlight from Diablo III
By: Alan Ng | October 27, 2009 | 2 CommentsHave you been keeping an close eye on upcoming RPG Torchlight? The fantasy-themed game is set to release this Wednesday and will be downloadable from the word go for a $20 fee.
As reported from VentureBeat, players will get quite a generous return for the $20 price, as Torchlight is set to feature around 20 hours of gameplay – split up into about 30 levels of RPG dungeon goodness.
The game has been designed by Runic Games, more notably Max Schaefer and his brother Erich, who used to work on the Diablo RPG franchise. They have said if the game turns out to be a success, they plan to turn Torchlight into a fully-fledged MMO.
