Torchlight game aims to take spotlight from Diablo III

Have you been keeping an close eye on upcoming RPG Torchlight? The fantasy-themed game is set to release this Wednesday and will be downloadable from the word go for a $20 fee.

As reported from VentureBeat, players will get quite a generous return for the $20 price, as Torchlight is set to feature around 20 hours of gameplay – split up into about 30 levels of RPG dungeon goodness.

The game has been designed by Runic Games, more notably Max Schaefer and his brother Erich, who used to work on the Diablo RPG franchise. They have said if the game turns out to be a success, they plan to turn Torchlight into a fully-fledged MMO.

    that would be awsome if it does turn in to an MMO because it would give me reason to leave WOW

    Just played Torchlight last night. I have to say if you are a Diablo game fan this is the game for you! Regardless of being only single player it has so much of the gameplay elements you would want plus a unique look to it that makes it fun and run fast.
    I had been looking forward to Mythos and would also like a replacement for WOW as well.
