Netflix on PS3: Disc-free version coming next year
By: Alan Ng | October 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing on from the news of Netflix making its way to the Playstation 3 console, it has been confirmed that Netflix will also be available in a ‘disc-free’ format, as a result of a planned PS3 update next year.
As reported from VG247, Netflix made the comments in a recent interview over at Joystiq. As it stands at the moment, users wishing to make use of Netflix services, will have to insert a PS3 disc into the system, in order to be taken to the streaming options.
Glad they cleared that up then, no word on when this update will be available, but for now, let’s just be glad that Netflix has arrived on the PS3 anyway.
