Motorola Droid on Verizon: Release date delayed till November

Are you still pumped up about the release of Verizon’s first Android powered handset in the way of the Motorola Droid? It was originally expected towards the end of October, but now we are hearing that customers will now have to wait until early November to get your hands on one.

As reported from DeviceMag, you may not be too bothered about the device due to all the recent and very cool commerical ads that Verizon have been flying around in preparation for it’s release, but customers should now expect to see the Droid on November 6th at the earliest.

We are still waiting to hear on solid pricing details for the phone, but it is thought that prices will be similar to that for the iPhone, with a $200 tag and 2 year contract most likely.

Are you bothered by the slight delay or not? Much more details through the link.

That is not really an update. The general perception is that Verizon was planning to introduce the “Droid” line-up on October 28th, this was expected to be the official release of the all the specs, prices, ect. However, actual in-store sell date has always been anticipated November–the ads alone confirm this–most expecting the flagship phone dubbed “Droid” November 6th, while some debate a November 9th sell date.

Of course you can take your chances to get one sooner and bid on the unlocked droid phone on ebay.
