Netflix on PS3: Launching Next Month on PlayStation Network
By: Peter Chubb | October 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you are the owner of a Sony PS3 and feel that you have been left out when Microsoft announced that they were to offer Netflix to Xbox 360 users on Xbox Live, then you will be pleased to learn that Netflix is also coming to the PlayStation 3 next month via the PlayStation Network.
The news that Netflix and Sony are coming together to offer thousands of movies and TV episodes proves that Sony are not letting Microsoft get all their own way. We just wonder how long it will be before the Sony PS3 will have access to other features that the Xbox enjoys.
The good news is that this new feature will be free to those who already have a Netflix account in the U.S. Both Netflix and the PS3 have seen a huge increase in their user base, and this is expected to keep growing at a fast rate.
According to a press release sent to Engadget, this latest announcement has helped to cement the fact that the Sony PS3 games console is still the most complete home entertainment hub. Xbox 360 users might not agree with this fact, but we are just reported what was said in the press release.
