It has been reported that the Executive Editior of the New York Times has been recorded off-air, where he refered to the strongly rumored Apple Tablet device as the ‘Apple Slate’.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, Bill Keller’s comments were not meant to be recorded, but have now been leaked onto the internet, fueling speculation of the Apple Tablet even more.
The exact statement from Bill Keller reads: “I’m hoping we can get the newsroom more actively involved in the challenge of delivering our best journalism in the form of Times Reader, iPhone apps, WAP, or the impending Apple slate…”,
Pocket-Lint also reports that a team from the NYT met with Apple earlier on this year to discuss a ’secret project’, so could it have been specifically about the tablet?
