Barnes and Noble’s Nook ebook reader: Hands-on Video

We knew that Barnes and Noble were working on its Nook ebook reader, but we did not know that they would unveil it this early. The ebook reader is now official, so we can now get a closer look at that six-inch 16-level E-ink screen complete with touchscreen.

The reader runs on one of the most popular mobile OS on the market, Android. The device even comes with wireless features on AT&T’s 3G network; oh did we forget to mention built-in Wi-Fi. The device will go on sale in November and the pre-order price is $259.

If you visit a B&N store, you will see a huge display unit, much the same as what you see in stores selling an Apple iPhone 3GS. If you do become an owner of a Barnes and Noble Nook ebook reader, then you will be able to browse full ebooks for free while in a B&N store.

Engadget have managed to put a video together, they still were not allowed to touch it, but the B&N guys showed them how the device works. We can see that the interface is intuitive; to learn more view the video below.
