Yesterday we saw the launch of the new iMac’s, the new MacBook and briefly mentioned the launch of the new Mac Mini’s, now, as promised we will take a deeper look at the new Mac Mini’s.
There are three standard specifications available at the Apple Store, however you can customize your particular Mac Mini by adding different hardware upgrades, preinstalled software, and cables and adapters etc, all options come preinstalled with Snow Leopard.
The cheapest Mac Mini starts at $599.00, it consists of a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, an 8x double-layer SuperDrive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics.
The next model up costs an extra $200.00, giving it a retail price of $799.00, the specifications are exactly the same as above, however it has a faster 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.
The most expensive model is the “Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server”, this costs $999.00, and has an identical specification as the previously mentioned model, however it features dual 500GB hard drives and does not feature a SuperDrive, it also hs Snow Leopard Server preinstalled.
