Nokia 5230: Preview and Pricing
By: Jamie Pert | October 20, 2009 | Leave a CommentOne of Nokia’s less talked about upcoming handsets is the Nokia 5230, it hasn’t caused much of a stir as it is not revolutionary in any ways, nor is it really innovative, however one thing it is, is affordable.
Rather than create another high-end device this handset combines afford-ability with ease-of-use, however to keep it affordable they have had to scrap some functionality.
One of the ways in which Nokia have saved money on this handset is by scrapping WiFi connectivity, they have also opted for aGPS rather than integrating a true GPS receiver, also the build of the handset is said to be more ‘plasticky’ then some other recent Nokia handsets.
The handset does however still offer a full 3.2 inch touchscreen display, and runs S60 5th Edition OS, best of all the asking price for the handset is just $225, it should be available within a few weeks, find out more on SlashGear.
