Gateway’s EC Series Notebooks: Detailed Specifications

Gateway have recently revealed full details on their upcoming EC series of notebooks, there are three models which they have revealed details for, one of these is an ultraportable notebook (apparently not a netbook) with an 11.6 inch display, and the other two are more standard sizes with 15.6 inch displays.
The ultra portable is called the EC 14, it has an 11.6 inch LED-backlit display, it has an Intel Pentium Dual Core processor (1.3GHz per core), it has 4GB of DDR2 memory as standard (which is upgradeable to 8GB) and it has a 320GB hard drive and uses Intel’s GS45 chipset.
Other specifications worth mentioning include a 5600mAh battery which is said to last between 6 and 8 hours, it has built-in WiFi, a built-in webcam, a built-in card reader, its touchpad supports multi-touch and it runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
