Windows 7 Pre-Orders: Some UK Versions Delivered Early

By: Jamie Pert | October 19, 2009 | 3 Comments

According to a recent article on Cnet it seems that some lucky UK residents have received their versions of Windows 7 early, prior to this it was thought that Windows 7 would not leave PC World’s warehouse before October 21st.

The reason for the early delivery is said to be because of the pretty much imminent postal strike which seem to happen yearly with Royal Mail.

The news was reported to Cnet by a customer called Tom Brown, Tom had pre-ordered the OS a couple of months ago however was shocked to see it delivered this morning, check out Cnet for their original article.

Well done PC World and associates.

Got my pre ordered copy of Win 7 Monday 19th.
Looks like Post Office workers targeted 22nd/23rd with a reason?

Feel sorry for the workers but not their Union boss, however they voted for it so when more business/jobs go it’ll be their own fault.

Nice to see the customers were considered by the companies on this occasion.

Monday? Lucky you – I had to wait all the way till Tuesday to get my Win 7 Pro (lol). And it went straight to the guys building my new pc (PC4Less in Coatbridge) who loaded it all for me at no extra cost. REAL Customer service that is.

Well done DSG Retail group (PC World, Dixons & Currys) – my copy came courier from Dixons – look after your customers and they will come back.
